“Dark White” is a joint exhibition by artists Raghad Sawaed and Muran Daaqa. The artists joined the
Kabri Cooperative Gallery during the past year, and this is their first exhibition in this guesthouse.
The name “Dark White” expresses something of the contradictory combinations that emerge from
their bodies of work. In their works, the color white exists as a point of departure, as a place of
doubt, and as a foundation to hang onto. White is not merely a color; it carries symbolic depth that
hovers between heaviness and lightness, and between exposure and concealment.
