Safe Environment  / بيئة أَمنة  / Safe Enviroment

The exhibition “Safe Environment” was born out of a state of emergency, at a time when artistic
activity is limited—indeed almost impossible. War across the entire country. A front with Iran and
with Hezbollah and an especially intense front along the northern border. Residents in the North
can only move around from one shelter to another. The exhibition emerges from the closed
environment of the Cooperative Gallery and situates itself in another possibly safe environment: in
a tunnel—a place one might pass by or spend a few moments in but one where people don’t gather.
The exhibition targets those who pass by every day, on their way to shop for food and do errands.
